A clip for retaining a catheter hub to a patient. The clip includes a base having a first surface and a second surface juxtaposed from the first surface. The clip also includes a first prong extending from the first surface for retaining a first suture loop of the catheter hub to the base and a second prong extending from the first surface for retaining a second suture loop of the catheter hub to the base. A method for clipping a catheter hub to a patient is also disclosed, wherein a clip base is secured to the patient, and a catheter hub is pressed onto the clip and locked to the clip by suture loops of the hub being locked by respective securing sections of the clip in a manner permitting unsecuring the hub from the clip for removal.
L'invention concerne une attache (100) permettant de fixer une embase de cathéter (160) sur un patient. L'attache comprend une base (110) présentant une première surface (112) et une seconde surface (114) juxtaposée à la première surface. L'attache comprend également une première patte (122) s'étendant à partir de la première surface de manière à fixer une première partie de suture (162) de l'embase du cathéter (160) sur la base (110) et une seconde patte (142) s'étendant de la première surface de manière à fixer une seconde partie de suture (164) de l'embase du cathéter sur la base. L'invention concerne également un procédé permettant d'attacher une embase de cathéter sur un patient et consistant à fixer la base d'une attache sur le patient et à presser l'embase du cathéter sur l'attache et à verrouiller celle-ci sur l'embase par verrouillage des parties de suture de l'embase, au moyen de sections de fixation respectives de l'attache d'une manière permettant de démonter l'embase de l'attache, aux fins de retrait.
