ABSTRACT A cathode for use in electrolytic refining of copper and of the kind comprising: a stainless steel hanger bar having end portions to rest on supports, a flat stainless steel starter sheet welded to the bar to be suspended thereby, a copper cladding which envelopes the bar and part of the starter sheet, and masking means on the side edges of the sheet, is characterised in that the end portions are so shaped as to rest on the supports in line contact therewith. - 1 -
