ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A cathode ray tube of the type which comprises a tube body having a face plate, and a safety panel bonded to the front surface of the face plate through an interlayer of a cured adhesive resin composition. The adhesive resin composition comprises an unsaturated alkyd resin obtained from an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid and a dihydric alcohol, a polymerizable monomer capable of dissolving the unsaturated alkyd resin an organic peroxide catalyst, an organometal compound accelerator, and a chelating agent for the metal in the organometal compound accelerator.
