ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A cathode ray tube including first and second cathodes mounted parallel to each other in the horizontal direction, and a deflecting device disposed along the passages of the first and second electron beams which are emitted from the first and second cathodes so as to apply to the first and second electron beams a rotational force with the axis of the tube as its center, and whereby the first and second electron beams impinge on the phosphor screen at positions which are spaced apart from each other by a distance of approximately half the distance between adjacent scanning lines in the vertical direction.
