The invention features a frame (30) comprising flat sides (30a, 30b, 30c, 30d) arranged along the lateral faces of a straight prismatic surface. The sides (30a, 30b, 30c, 30d) of the frame (30) comprise an external diphragm (31) and an internal diphragm (32) attached and mutually fixed, each constituted by a thin metal strip portion, preferably ribbed. The frame (30) suspension devices (34) in the cathode ray tube glass housing can be fixed by clipping or welding on the angle parts of the frame (30).
