Abstract of the Disclosure A cathode-structure and electrolysis, process using same, the cathode-structure for liquid-phase electrolysis comprising a cathode and a polymer containing a cation exchange group, said polymer being laminated in the form of a film on one surface of said cathode. The cathode structure provides an electrolytic cell operable at low voltages and can be utilised with electrodes of curved configuration.
