ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Polyepoxide resins are adducted with polyamines which are further reacted with a monoepoxide or a monocarboxylic acid. When salted with an acid, the resinous adducts are water soluble or water dispersible. The resin solutions or dispersions are particularly useful in cathodic electrodeposition processes for prime coating metal objects.
