PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION Procédé d'extraction de cations à partir d'un effluent aqueux. On introduit dans ledit effluent une quantité efficace d'au moins un polymère ou copolymère, physiquement ou chimiquement réticulé, à base d'acide acrylique au moins partiellement salifié et/ou quaternisé ou bien un copolymère comprenant de 40 à 60% en moles d'acide acrylique, le cas échaéant au moins partiellement salifié, et de 60 à 40% en moles d'au moins un dialkylaminoalkyl acrylate dans lequel chaque groupe alkyle a de 1 à 4 atomes de carbone, le cas échéant au moins partiellement salifié ou quaternisé. Application au traitement d'effluents aqueux.
