The present invention relates to a cationic virosome that comprises at least one active fusogenic peptide that is a non-Sendai viral hemagglutinin, and wherein the virosome membrane comprises 5 to 30 % by weight, based on total lipids, of 1,3-dioleoyloxy-2-(6-carboxy-spermyl)-propylamide (DOSPER) in combination with other lipids comprising phosphatidylcholine (PC) or a derivative thereof and optionally phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) and/or other cationic lipids. The virosomes are highly efficient in the delivery of negatively charged material, particularly nucleic acid compounds, to target cells. The invention also relates to a method for the manufacture of the virosomes and to uses thereof for diagnostic, cosmetic, medical or scientific purposes.

La présente invention concerne un virosome cationique comprenant au moins un peptide fusogène actif qui est une hémagglutinine virale non Sendai, la membrane du virosome comprenant entre 5 et 30 % en poids, par rapport au total des lipides, de 1,3-dioléoyloxy-2-(6-carboxyspermyl)-propylamide (DOSPER) combiné avec d'autres lipides comprenant de la phosphatidylcholine (PC) ou un dérivé de cette dernière et, facultativement, de la phosphatidyléthanolamine (PE) et/ou d'autres lipides cationiques. Les virosomes de l'invention possèdent une efficacité élevée dans la délivrance de matières à charge négative, en particulier des composés nucléotidiques, à des cellules cibles. L'invention se rapporte également à un procédé de fabrication des virosomes précités et à des utilisations de ces derniers à des fins diagnostiques, cosmétiques, médicales ou scientifiques.
