- 56 - ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides a cationic electrocoating composition which cures at the preferred curing temperature range and provides superior curing properties and cured film properties. The cationic electrocoating composition of the present invention comprises a resinous component and an aqueous medium, wherein the resinous component is composed of one or more polymers and has as a whole an active hydrogen containing group, a cationic group and a substituted group and at least one of the polymers comprises a vinyl polymer which has 5 to 1,000 substituted acylamide groups.
