20 There is disclosed a cationic electrodeposition coating composition containing bismuth lactate derived from a lactic acid, whose L-isomer content is at least 80% by weight, or bismuth methoxyacetate in a form of being dissolved in an aqueous medium. The electrodeposition coating composition can form a coating film having excellent anticorrosivity and finishing property without containing a lead compound.

Cette composition de revêtement pour électrodéposition cationique renferme un lactate de bismuth dérivé d'un acide lactique contenant au moins 80 % en poids d'acide lactique-p ou bien renferme du méthoxyacétate de bismuth dissous dans un milieu aqueux. Cette composition permet d'obtenir des pellicules protectrices dotées de remarquables propriétés anticorrosives et d'excellentes qualités de finition même si elles sont exemptes de composés de plomb.
