A cationic latex terpolymer prepared by polymerizing from about 1 to about 99.1 mole percent of one or more cationic monomers, from about 0.9 to about 5 mole percent of one or more hydroxyalkyl (meth)acrylates and from 0 to about 98.1 mole percent of one or more nonionic monomers is useful for dewatering sludge.

L'invention concerne un terpolymère de latex cationique préparé par polymérisation de 1 à 99,1 % molaires d'un ou plusieurs monomères cationiques, de 0,9 à 5 % molaires d'un ou plusieurs hydroxyalkyle (méth)acrylates, et de 0 à 98,1 % molaires d'un ou plusieurs monomères non ioniques, ledit terpolymère servant à la déshydratation de boues.
