-8- ABSTRACT A Ceiling Fan A ceiling fan includes auxiliary vanes (28) pivotally connected to the opposite ends of its main vanes (1), wherein each auxiliary vane (2B) is pivotally connected to a common bracket unit (25) through a pull rod (27) at the opposite end to the main vanes (1). The bracket unit (25) is capable of moving up and down in accordance with the rotation of an electric motor (M) along a shaft (4) supporting the body of the fan from a ceiling. By operating a solenoid (15) the bracket unit (25) is connected to or disconnected from the motor (M). Thus the auxiliary vanes (2B) are rotated in a clockwise direction and in an anti-clockwise direction, thereby changing the angle of attachment thereof to the main vanes (1) as desired while the main vanes (l) are rotated.
