Abstract of the Disclosure A system is provided for detecting an imbalance in operating voltage between two sodium hypochlorite cell assemblies electrically connected in series. Each cell has associated with it, in parallel, a resistor and each of the resistors are equal in value. A detector is connected between the junction between the resistors and the junction between the cells which detects an increase or a decrease in the operating voltage of either of the cells.
