To search human Cds1 (hCds1) being homologous with yeast cell cycle regulatory factors scCds1 and spCds1, GenBank EST data base is retrieved based on fission yeast spCds1 sequence and baker's yeast scCds1 sequence, thereby finding a homologous molecule (dCds1) of Drosophila which is significantly homologous with spCds1 and sdCds1. Then the full-length gene thereof is isolated. It is confirmed that this gene is expressed strongly in testis and, moreover, widely expressed in other tissues. A protein encoded by the thus isolated gene is prepared as a recombinant protein and its kinase activity is detected in vitro. As a result, it is found out that this protein efficiently phosphorylates cdc25 and histone H1.

Pour rechercher le Cds1 humain (hCds1), qui est un homologue des facteurs de régulation de cycle cellulaire de la levure scCds1 et spCds1, la base de données GenBank EST est extraite par fission de la séquence de la levure spCds1 et de la levure de boulangerie scCds1, ce qui permet de trouver une molécule homologue (dCds1) de Drosophila qui est homologue, de façon significative, avec spCds1 et sdCds1. Le gène pleine longueur de celle-ci est ensuite isolé. Il est confirmé que ce gène est exprimé fortement dans les testicules et, en outre, largement exprimé dans d'autres tissus. Une protéine codée par le gène ainsi isolé est préparée sous forme de protéine recombinante et son activité kinase est détectéein vitro. On a ainsi trouvé que cette protéine phosphoryle efficacement cdc25 et l'histone H1.
