Abstract of the Disclosure A cell stimulating composition is formed by a cosmetically acceptable carrier containing a mixture of two active ingredients, one of which is an aliphatic alcohol with an odd number of carbon atoms and the other of which is an aliphatic carboxylic acid having an odd number of carbon atoms. Typically, the composition contains from 0.3% to 12% be weight of the active ingredients in a weight ratio between 1:9 and 9:1, sufficient to provide the composition with an effective skin-vivifying or hair growing effect.
