ABSTRACT This invention relates to an additive of the cellu- lar plastic type, a method for manufacturing the addi- tive and a use of the additive. The additive is intended to be mixed with a hardening or air-drying, component, preferably, liquid paint. The additive of this invention is characterized in that a mixture of closed cellular plastic particles, disintegrated foamed urea formaldehyde resin and chopped fiberglass filaments or strands form part of the additive. The method for manufacturing the additive of this invention is characterized in that the components forming part of the additive are fed into an air-conveying con- duit in mutual mixing relationship to form a uniform mix- ture during transfer to a silo.
