A method whereby non-immunogenic intraspecies proteins are used as carrier compounds to deliver imaging agents and pharmaceutical drugs to tumors in the human patient. This invention describes the propensity of certain cellular receptor proteins to localize in necrotic or inflamed areas of tumors but not in healthy normal tissues. Two examples of these receptors are tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNF-R) and the interleukin receptors (IL-R). By combining various pharmaceutical agents with these receptor proteins it is possible to localize these agents within the necrotic or damaged areas of the tumor where they will have the greatest therapeutic effect.
Cette invention concerne une méthode selon laquelle des protéines intra-espèces non immunogènes sont utilisées comme excipients pour l'introduction d'agents d'imagerie et de médicaments pharmaceutiques dans des tumeurs chez un patient humain. Cette invention concerne la propension de certaines protéines réceptrices cellulaires à se trouver dans des zones nécrotiques ou enflammées de tumeurs et pas dans des tissus normaux sains. Deux exemples de ces récepteurs sont le récepteur du facteur onconécrosant (TNF-R) et les récepteurs de l'interleukine (IL-R). La combinaison de divers agents pharmaceutiques avec ces protéines réceptrices permet de placer ces agents dans les zones nécrotiques ou endommagées de la tumeur où leur effet thérapeutique sera le plus fort.
