PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION La présente invention concerne une structure alvéolaire destinée à recouvrir au moins en partie une surface cylindrique. Ladite structure qui comporte des alvéoles délimitées par plusieurs parois est caractérisée en ce que l'une au moins des alvéoles comporte au moins une paroi ayant au moins deux arêtes sensiblement parallèles entre-elles et au moins une paroi comportant au moins deux arêtes non parallèles entre-elles, chacunes de ces arêtes sensiblement parallèles et non parallèles entre-elles ayant une projection orthogonale de longueur non nulle sur une normale à ladite surface cylindrique passant par l'arête considérée.
