A novel cellulase composition is provided which is producible by an Actinomycete. The cellulase has an approximate calculated molecular weight of 36 kD and has a pH optimum at 40 ~C of 8 and at 60 ~C of 7. Also provided is a DNA encoding said cellulase, a method for producing the cellulase and applications thereof.

On décrit une nouvelle composition de cellulase qui peut être produite par un Actinomycète. La cellulase se caractérise par un poids moléculaire calculé approximatif de 36 kD et par un pH optimal de 8 à 40 ·C et de 7 à 60 ·C. On décrit également un ADN codant ladite cellulase, un procédé de production de cellulase et des applications de cette dernière.
