A novel cellulase composition is provided which is producible by Actinomycete. The cellulase has an approximate calculated molecular weight of 35 kD and has a pH optimum at 40 ~C of 6 and at 60 ~C of 6 or less. Also provided is a DNA encoding said cellulase, a method for producing the cellulase and applications thereof.

Cette invention concerne une nouvelle composition de cellulase produite par un Actinomycète. La cellulase se caractérise par un poids moléculaire calculé approximatif de 35 kD et par un pH optimal de 6 à 40 ·C et de 6 ou moins de 6 à 60 ·C. On décrit également un ADN codant ladite cellulase, un procédé de production de cellulase et des applications de cette dernière.
