The present invention relates to cellulose particles having cationic groups, characterized in that the cationic groups are present even in the interior of the cellulose particles, distributed over the total cross section of the particles, the concentration of cationic groups being constant or increasing from the outside to the inside and at least one cationic group being present per 100 anhydroglucose units of the cellulose.
