The present invention relates to a process for the production of a cellulosic product which comprises (i) providing an aqueous suspension containing cellulosic fibres, and optional filler; (ii) adding to the suspension a clay having 3R2 stacking; and (iii) dewatering the obtained suspension. The invention also relates to a process for the production of a cellulosic product which comprises (i) providing an aqueous suspension containing cellulosic fibres, and optional filler; (ii) adding to the suspension a cationic clay;(iii) adding to the suspension one or more drainage and retention aids comprising at least one cationic polymer; and (iv) dewatering the obtained suspension. The invention further relates to a cellulosic product comprising clay having 3R2 stacking.

La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de fabriquer un produit cellulosique, lequel procédé consiste (i) à utiliser une suspension aqueuse contenant des fibres cellulosiques et, éventuellement, un agent de remplissage; (ii) à ajouter à la suspension une argile présentant un empilement 3R¿2?; et (iii) à déshydrater la suspension obtenue. La présente invention concerne également un procédé permettant de fabriquer un produit cellulosique, lequel procédé consiste (i) à utiliser une suspension aqueuse contenant des fibres cellulosiques et, éventuellement, un agent de remplissage; (ii) à ajouter à la suspension une argile cationique; (iii) à ajouter à la suspension un ou plusieurs adjuvants de drainage et de rétention, parmi lesquels au moins un polymère cationique; et (iv) à déshydrater la suspension ainsi obtenue. Cette invention concerne également un produit cellulosique comprenant une argile présentant un empilement 3R¿2?.
