The present disclosure is directed to cellulosic textiles treated with h-PEI derivatives, such derivatives possessing the general structure shown below: (R)x - h-PEI - (A)y where R is a non-hyperbranched hydrocarbon group (for example, such as alkyl, alkenyl, arylalkyl, and arylalkenyl groups, where the number of carbon atoms in the linear portion of the hydrocarbon is between 5 and 30 carbon atoms), where x is a number from 1 to about 10,000 (depending on the Mn of the h-PEI), where h-PEI is a hyperbranched polyethyleneimine, where A is a small organic "capping" compound having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, where y is a number from 0 to 10,000, and wherein R is present in an approximate amount of between about 20% and about 75% by weight of the h-PEI derviative. The chemical treatment imparts durable colorfastness, softness, wrinkle resistance, and reduced drying time to substrates treated therewith.

L'invention concerne des textiles cellulosiques traités avec des dérivés h-PEI, tels que des dérivés possédant la structure générale présentée ci-dessous: (R)x - h-PEI - (A)y où R est un groupe hydrocarbure non hyper ramifié (par exemple tel que des groupes alkyle, alcényle, arylaklyle et arylalcényle, où le nombre d'atomes de carbone se trouvant dans la partie linéaire de l'hydrocarbure est compris entre 5 et 30 atomes de carbone), où x est un nombre compris entre 1 et environ 10000 (selon le Mn du h-PEI), où h-PEI est un polyéthylénéimine, où A est un petit composé de coiffage organique possédant entre 1 et 4 atomes de carbone, où y représente un nombre compris entre 1 et 10000, et où R est présent dans une quantité approximative comprise entre environ 20% et environ 75% en poids du dérivé h-PEI. Le traitement chimique confère aux substrats ainsi traités une solidité durable de la couleur, une douceur, une résistance au pli et un temps de séchage réduit.
