A method of ejecting a container from a blow mold comprises the steps of: opening a blow mold containing a pair of containers, the blow mold comprising a pair of pistons having a head and a heel, an end cap disposed behind the heel, and a pair of ejector rods, each ejector rod coupled to a different piston; simultaneously with the opening forcing a fluid against each head of each of the pair of pistons, extending each of the ejector rods to maintain contact with an opposite side of a center portion of the containers in the blow mold and pushing the containers from the blow mold; and forcing a fluid against the heel of each of the pair of pistons operative to retract the pair of ejector rods away from the containers when the containers are separated from the blow mold.

Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé qui sert à éjecter un récipient d'un moule de soufflage et qui consiste à cet effet : à ouvrir un moule de soufflage contenant une paire de récipients et comportant une paire de pistons ayant une tête et une queue, un capuchon d'extrémité disposé derrière la queue et une paire de tiges d'éjection, couplées chacune à un piston différent ; en même temps que l'opération d'ouverture projette un fluide contre chaque tête de chacun des pistons, à déployer chacune des tiges d'éjection pour maintenir le contact avec un côté opposé d'une partie centrale des récipients dans le moule de soufflage et à pousser les récipients hors du moule de soufflage ; puis à projeter un fluide contre la queue de chacun des pistons, afin de rétracter les deux tiges d'éjection par rapport aux récipients, lorsque ceux-ci sont séparés du moule de soufflage.
