The invention describes a central buffer coupling for rail vehicles comprising a coupling shank (1) and a means of articulation (2) having a bearing block (4), the rear end (3) of the coupling shank (1) being connected to the means of articulation (2) and pivotably articulated horizontally on the body of the rail vehicle by means of the bearing block (4) of the means of articulation (2), characterized in that a shock absorber (5, 8) is provided in the means of articulation (2), the shock absorber (5, 8) being designed in such a way that, when a definable critical impact force that is transmitted to the means of articulation (2) via the coupling shank (1) is exceeded, the connection between the means of articulation (2) and the coupling shank (1) is disconnected and the coupling shank (1) is at least partially removed from the flux of force transmitted to the means of articulation (2).
Attelage à tampon central pour véhicules ferroviaires, qui comporte une tige (1) d'attelage et une articulation (2) possédant un support (4) de palier, l'extrémité arrière (3) de la tige (1) d'attelage étant reliée à l'articulation (2) et étant articulée de manière à pouvoir basculer horizontalement, via le support (4) de palier de l'articulation (2), à la caisse du véhicule ferroviaire.
