With energy prices continuing to increase and the need to reduce greenhouse gases from building space conditioning it is becoming very important to come up with new innovative ideas to reduce energy consumption in all existing and new buildings, especially in multi-unit residential buildings (apartments and condominiums). The idea of using less energy is becoming very popular in the construction business: through more efficient building envelopes (increased levels of wall and roof insulation, more efficient windows etc ---}, or by heat recovery ventilation to pre- condition fresh air through air exchangers, higher efficiency hot water boilers and the substitution of fossil fuels with renewable energy. In fact there is global environmental initiative which calls for all new buildings and major renovations to reduce their fossil-fuel greenhouse-gas-emitting energy consumption by 50 per cent immediately, increasing, this reduction to 60 per cent in 2010, 70 percent in 2015,80 per cent in 2020, 90 per cent in 2025, and finally, that all new buildings be carbon neutral by 1030. There is tremendous energy wastage during the hours of the morning and the evening when multiples showers, baths or dishwashers usage are at peak, due to the large amount of warm and hot water going down the drains into city sewage systems. The new CGWHR "Central Grey Water Heat Recovery" with CDHR "Central Domestic Heat Re-inject" concept recovers energy from hot water going down the drain at 22 to 32 °C (80 to 90°F) to the sewer system and re-injects the heat into the main domestic hot water supply, line. Once the heated domestic hot water enters the building, a heat pump is used to create a cold 15 °C (60 °F) and a hot 49 ° C(120°F).
