A variably tuned transmission comprising a carrier element (1) consisting of a single piece, attached to the cylinder housing of the engine and from which extend all the other elements of the variably tuned transmission, and a sliding shaft (2) element, each of the two gears of which are supported by a sleeve (20, 20') on a single bearing (22, 22') located in an appropriate housing (21, 21') of the sliding shaft element (2). On both sides of the carrier element (1) are arranged guide tubes (7, 7') on perpendicular axes in relation to the planes (12, 12') in order to receive the guiding pins (8, 8'), one end of each being placed perpendicularly to the planes (11, 11') of the sliding shaft element (2). The carrier element (1) and the sliding shaft element (2) each have two openings (14, 14' and 21, 21') for the corresponding bearings (15, 15' and 22, 22') which support a transmission shaft (16 and 17) crossing the carrier element (1) and the sliding element (2), on the side of the plane (12), with helical grooves (19 and 19') in which the sleeves (20, 20') with equivalent grooves slide.

Transmission à calage variable, comportant une seule prise de force d'entrée et une seule prise de force de sortie, caractérisée en ce qu'elle consiste en un ensemble comprenant un seul élément porteur (1) et un élément baladeur (2) coulissant, dont les deux engrenages (3,4) sont chacun solidaires d'un manchon (respectivement 20,20') à un seul support de roulement (respectivement 22,22') situé dans un logement approprié (respectivement 21,21') de l'élément baladeur (2), et en ce que des deux côtés latéraux de l'élément porteur (1) sont disposés des tubes de guidage (respectivement 7,7') axés perpendiculairement par rapport aux plans (12,12') de l'élément porteur (1) pour recevoir des axes guides (8,8'), dont l'une de leurs extrémités est fixée perpendiculairement aux plans (11,11') de l'élément baladeur (2).
