ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A centrifugal coating apparatus comprises a mold mounted for rotation about its axis. The mold includes a melt intake means and a cover. The mold is kinematically connected with a rotation drive. The lower sid? of the cover is formed with at least on e guiding slot opened onto the lateral surface of the cover and intended to be filled with a m?lt so as to hold the casting. A horizontally acting pusher is mounted near the mold and connected with a drive for its motion. The apparatus is provided with a mechanism for vertically separating the mold and the cover. The cover is brought by an appropriate mechanism into position permitt- ing the guiding slot to be in parallel relationship with the pusher. Such an arrangement of the apparatus allows the removal of castings from the molds to be completely mechani- zed and the reliability and the productivity of the apparatus to be upgraded. A multi-station rotary casting machine incor- porating the centrifugal casting apparatus comprises a frame- work mounting a rotary table connected with an indexing me- chanism. The rotary table mounts vertical spindles adapted to carry molds and kinematically connected with a rotation drive. There is provided a dispensible crucible positioned underneath the molds at a mold filling station and equipped with a drive for its vertical motion. Located at a casting removal station are a cover positioning mechanism, a pusher together with its drive and a mechanism for vertically sep- arating the mold from its cover. A multi-station reciprocat- ing casting machine incorporating the centrifugal casting apparatus comprises a framework mounting a horizontal guide with a carriage mounted thereon. Spindles connected with a rotation drive and carrying molds are mounted on the carriage in two rows which are perpendicular to the guide. The spin- dles of each row are combined into an assembly provided with an individual drive for its vertical motion. The carriage is connected with a drive intended to reciprocate the spind- les between a mold filling station and a casing removal station. Pushers and cover positioning mechanisms are loca- ted at the casting removal station at the extreme points of the carriage travelling path, and arranged therebetween is a dispensible crucible spaced within a distance equal to that between the rows of the spindles. Such an arrangement of the apparatus and casting machines increases their relia- bility and preductivity and also allows the casting process to be fully automatized.
