ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A centrifugal clutch is disclosed as including a rotary driver housed in a clutch drum and including a clutch shoe carried by the periphery of the rotary driver and adapted to frictionally engage the drum when the speed of rotation of the rotary driver exceeds a selected speed. The clutch shoe lining is supported such that the opposite ends of the clutch shoe lining move toward the clutch surface simultaneously in response to an increase in the speed of rotation of the rotary driver
