A B S T R A C T CENTRIFUGAL PUMP FOR PULVERIZED MATERIAL A centrifugal pump for feeding pulverized material (such as coal particles) from a low pressure zone into a high- pressure zone, comprises nozzles mounted on a rotor. The material is ejected into the high-pressure zone through these nozzles, and gas is supplied to the nozzles to control the flow rate of the pulverized material. Means are provided that ensure mass flow of the material through the nozzles, even if these nozzles have a short length.
