ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A centriugal separator cleans a stream of fluid by passing the same through a rapidly rotating tapered duct. Rotation of the duct creates centrifugal force which causes pollutants carried by the stream to collect on a duct wall and to flow along the wall in a direction opposite to the direc- tion of flow of the fluid through the duct.
