The apparatus is for holding the stator of the rotatating vessel of a centrifuge in a way allowing for an easy and rapid handling. It includes: a pivotable swing arm (50) having a first end (52) and a second end (54), the second end (54) having an engagement portion (56) configured to engage the stator of the rotating vessel; a shaft (70) connected to the first end (52) of the swing arm (50) for supporting the swing arm (50) in a manner permitting the swing arm (50) to pivot toward and away from the stator; and spring biased means (88, 90) for resisting pivotal movement of the swing arm (50) when the swing arm (50) is in a predetermined angular position, the spring biased resisting means (88, 90) permitting pivotal movement of the swing arm (50) in response to rotational force greater than a predetermined rotational force.

L'invention porte sur un appareil servant à tenir le stator du récipient rotatif d'une centrifugeuse d'une manière permettant une manipulation facile et rapide. L'appareil comporte un bras mobile pivotant (50) présentant une première extrémité (52) et une seconde extrémité (54), la seconde extrémité (54) comprenant une partie d'engagement (56) conçue pour engager le stator du récipient rotatif. Un arbre (70) est relié à la première extrémité (52) du bras mobile (50) afin de supporter ce dernier d'une façon lui permettant de pivoter vers le stator et de s'éloigner de ce dernier.
