A centrifuge tube and adaptor apparatus is provided which facilitates separation of biological materials and permits easy extraction of the fraction after centrifugation. The tube (2) is a deformable tube with a wide upper chamber (6) and a narrowed lower portion (14). The tube is supported within the centrifuge rotor or within another container (10) within the centrifuge by a liquid support medium (12), which surrounds and supports the narrow portion of the tub, and thus prevents the tube from collapsing during high speed centrifugation.

Ledit tube (2) est déformable et possède une chambre supérieure large (6) ainsi qu'une partie inférieure resserrée (14). Le tube est maintenu dans le rotor de la centrifugeuse ou dans un autre récipient (10) situé dans la centrifugeuse, par un milieu (12) de support liquide qui entoure et soutient la partie étroite du tube et empêche donc le tube de s'écraser pendant la centrifugation à grande vitesse.
