ABSTRACT CERAMIZED COMPOSITE MATERIALS WITH HIGH MECHANICAL AND HEAT RESISTANCE AND THEIR PREPARATION The invention relates to ceramized composite materials comprising a substrate formed of weavable ceramic fibres with high thermomechanical properties and a matrix formed from a ceramic oxide selected from the group comprising silica, chromic oxide and magnesium oxide, the cohesion of the oxide particles being such that it permits, under stress, microfissurization which pro- gresses to the level of the fibres.
