The invention relates to a ceramic cooktop comprising a cooking plate (12) made of glass ceramic or glass. The ceramic cooktop also comprises an electrical heating conductor layer (18), an insulating layer (16) that is situated between the cooking plate (12) and the heating conductor layer (18), and an electrically conductive intermediate layer (14) that is situated between the cooking plate (12) and the insulating layer (16). The intermediate layer (14) is a flame-sprayed layer consisting of an electrically conductive ceramic material, preferably of an oxide layer that is rendered electrically conductive by the loss of oxygen that occurs during flame spraying, or of a cermet.
