A ceramic hot-gas candle filter having a porous support of filament-wound oxide ceramic yarn at least partially surrounded by a porous refractory oxide ceramic matrix, and a membrane layer on the outside surface of the porous support. The membrane layer is formed of an ordered arrangement of continuous filament oxide ceramic yarn which is at least partially surrounded by a porous refractory oxide ceramic matrix. The filter can withstand thermal cycling during backpulse cleaning and is resistant to chemical degradation at high temperatures.

Cette invention concerne un filtre à gaz chauds en forme de bougie et en céramique qui comporte d'une part un support poreux constitué de fils en céramique d'oxyde à filaments tressés, au moins partiellement entouré d'une matrice poreuse réfractaire en céramique d'oxyde, et d'autre part une couche microporeuse disposée sur la surface extérieure du support poreux. Cette couche microporeuse est constituée d'un agencement ordonné de fils en céramique d'oxyde à filaments continus au moins partiellement entouré d'une matrice poreuse réfractaire en céramique d'oxyde. Ce filtre peut résister aux chocs thermiques en cours de nettoyage par flux inversé et il résiste aux dégradations chimiques pouvant se produire par hautes températures.
