A system (10) for measuring dilation of a cervix of a uterus of a female during the first stage of labor, including an expandable gripping arrangement (12) having two oppositely facing gripping members (14) configured, such that, the gripping arrangement (12) grips the dilating cervix. The system (10) also includes a first elongated element (30) having a calibrated scale (22) disposed thereon and a second elongated element (30). A part of the second elongated element (30) is disposed along the calibrated scale (22). The part of the second elongated element (30) has an indicator (32) disposed thereon. The first (20) and second (30) elongated element are mechanically connected to the gripping arrangement (12), in a manner such that, as the gripping arrangement (12) expands with the dilating cervix, relative linear movement is generated between the first (20) and second (30) elongated elements, thereby moving the indicator (32) with respect to the calibrated scale (22) so as to give a measurement of dilation of the cervix.
L'invention porte sur un système de mesure de la dilatation du col de l'utérus dans la première phase du travail, ce système comprenant un dispositif de préhension extensible pourvu de deux éléments de préhension opposés configurés de sorte que le dispositif de préhension saisisse le col en dilatation. Le système comprend également un premier élément allongé sur lequel est placée une échelle graduée, ainsi qu'un second élément allongé. Sur une partie du second élément allongé est disposé un indicateur. Les premier et second éléments allongés sont raccordés mécaniquement au dispositif de préhension de telle manière que, lorsque le dispositif de préhension se déploie avec le col en dilatation, un mouvement linéaire relatif est généré entre les premier et second éléments allongés, faisant ainsi déplacer l'indicateur par rapport à l'échelle graduée de manière à donner une mesure de dilatation du col.
