ABSTRACT A support for holding the bones of the cervix stationary, in the form of a padded sleeve surrounding the patient's neck, is designed so that, in spite of the fact that the neck is held stationary, a certain amount of movement of the head is possible within the range necessary for moving the muscles and for preventing a feeling of pressure which is uncomfortable after an extended period of time. According to the invention, the cervical support is made relatively rigid in an area where the head is supported, but is resiliently flexible in another area.
