To enhance a chaff distributor for a combine harvester or similar for the distribution of chaff, the chaff distributor comprises a trough with a bi-directional conveyor screw. The conveyor screw is configured to transport the chaff outwardly away from the middle of the screw. The chaff is then distributed by either blowers, or by second conveyors, away from the chaff distributor.
