The invention relates to the use of steel alloys in chain modules of hinge conveyor chains, in particular to alloys of stainless steel for use in such chain modules manufactured from stainless steel. A chain module according to the invention comprises at least one link from ferritic-pearlitic stainless steel and at least one chain pin, which chain pin comprises a steel alloy which is substantially non-seizing to the ferritic-pearlitic stainless steel of said link. The chain pin comprises a steel alloy with more than 0.6 wt.% of carbon and more than 12 wt.% of chromium.

L'invention concerne l'utilisation d'alliages d'acier dans des modules de chaînes de transporteurs articulées, notamment des alliages d'acier inoxydable à utiliser dans de tels modules de chaînes fabriqués à partir d'acier inoxydable. Un module de chaîne selon l'invention comprend au moins un maillon en acier inoxydable ferritique-perlitique et au moins une broche de chaîne comprenant un alliage d'acier sensiblement non adhérant à l'acier inoxydable ferritique-perlitique du maillon. La broche de la chaîne comprend un alliage d'acier renfermant plus de 0,6 % en poids de carbone et plus de 12 % en poids de chrome.
