ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A chain saw having improvements to eliminate kick-back during use and to extend the life of saw chain and saw chain guide bar is disclosed. The shape of the guide bar and the chain drive sprocket are defined in modified form and the relative size and arrangement of the chain links are defined; an improved lubrication means is also provided, and in combination these changes accomplish the above significant improvements in chain saw safety and durability.
