ABSTRACT A chain saw bar having a central groove along the top and bottom edges to guide the chain about the bar, and a bar nose structure at the end of the bar to guide the chain from the top edge to the bottom edge. The nose structure including an extension of the bar on one side of the groove and a roller rotatably mounted on the extension to form the other side of the groove at the noss of the bar. The roller and extension having arcuate peripheral faces to guide the chain about the nose of the bar. - 1 -
