APPLICANT: BE-GE STOLINDUSTRI AB TITLE: A CHAIR BACK WITH ADJUSTABLE LUMBAR SUPPORT ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In a chair back, particularly intended for an auto- mobile seat, a support part is suspended in a frame structure having two elongated side elements extending along the chair back and united by means of connecting members which are held tensioned by suspending the side elements in the frame structure. Each side element coacts with a respective ten- sioning device connected to both ends of a respective side element and being arranged to subject the side elements to buckling forces of such magnitude as to cause the side elements to arch, with the center regions of the arch facing forwards, forming thereby a support for the lumbar region, or the small of the back. The chair back also has an adjusting means for coaction with the tensioning devices so as to adjust the position of the lumbar support by changing the size of the arch.
