The seat (2) is divided into a front section (4) destined to support the upper legs, and a rear section (5) destined to support the pelvis, which sections (4, 5) can each be fixed and adjusted independently of one another by means of hinge (41, 46) that is parallel to the hinge (17) at the rear end of the seat.
