The invention concerns a chamber with vertical axis consisting of a tubular casing externally reinforced with bands (2) arranged at intervals along the casing tubular body. Said chamber is characterised in that each band (2) forms on the outside a polygonal frame (2A) which has internally a curved profile (2B), the cross-section of the band (2) tapering as it moves away from a corner of the frame to form, inside the frame, a continuous curved template whereon are secured in contiguous contact, directly or via a linking part, the walls (1A) of the tubular casing. The invention is applicable to silos and tanks.

L'invention concerne une enceinte à axe vertical du type formé d'une envelope (1) à allure tubulaire renforcée extérieurement par des ceintures (2) disposées à intervalle le long du corps tubulaire de l'enveloppe. Cette enceinte est caractérisée en ce que chaque ceinture (2) forme extérieurement un cadre (2A) polygonal, lequel présente intérieurement un profil (2B) courbe, la section transversale de la ceinture (2) décroissant à mesure que l'on s'éloigne d'un angle du cadre pour former, à l'intérieur du cadre, un gabarit courbe continu sur lequel sont solidarisées à contact jointif, directement ou par l'intermédiaire d'une pièce de liaison, les parois (1A) de l'enveloppe (1) tubulaire.
