A change fitting for exchanging a measurement transducer in a measurement chamber, which allows the measurement transducer to be removed for repair under process conditions. The change fitting comprises a first passage, which is located in the wall of the measurement chamber and through which the measurement transducer can be inserted into the measurement chamber, and a second passage, which is located in the wall of the measurement chamber and in which a protective pipe can be moved onto the measurement transducer and to create a seal between the measurement chamber and the space around the measurement transducer. It is thus possible to remove the measurement transducer for cleaning and maintenance without having to interrupt process operation.
