The invention relates to a method and apparatus for channel hopping between mobile stations (MS1-MS3) and a base station (BS1) in a radio communications system. A channel allocation means (211) within the base station (BS1) generates channel hopping sequences that are transmitted via a control channel (SACCH) to hopping sequence lists (204-206) in the mobile stations (MS1-MS3). The hopping sequences are also transmitted to corresponding hopping sequence lists (201-203) in the base station (BS1). A channel hopping sequence is divided into a number of sequence intervals (Ti) corresponding to the time between two adjacent channel hops within a channel hopping sequence. In the channel allocation means (211) the attenuation (.delta.) of the connections (F1-F3) and the interference (I(channel,t)) of the channels are continuously being observed within each sequence interval (Ti). The channel allocation means (211) generates channel hopping sequences according to the principle that a connection that has poor connection quality will be allocated a channel hopping sequence with channels of high channel quality and connections with successively better connection quality are allocated channel hopping sequence having successively poorer channels.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil de saut de voies de transmission s'effectuant entre des stations mobiles (MS1-MS3) et une station de base (BS1) dans un système de radiocommunications. Un dispositif d'attribution de voies (211) de la station de base (BS1) génère des séquences de sauts de voies qui sont transmises par un canal de commande (SACCH) à des listes de séquences de sauts (204-206) des stations mobiles (MS1-MS3). Les séquences de sauts sont alors transmises à des listes correspondantes de séquences de sauts (201-203) de la station de base (BS1). Une séquence de sauts de voies est divisée en un nombre d'intervalles (T¿i?) de séquences correspondant au temps entre deux sauts de voies adjacentes dans une séquence de sauts de voies. Dans le dispositif d'attribution de voies (211), on observe en continu l'atténuation (.delta.) des connexions (F1-F3) et l'interférence (I(voie, t)) des voies dans chaque intervalle (T¿i?) de séquences. Le dispositif d'attribution de voies (211) génère des séquences de sauts de voies selon le principe qu'à une connexion de mauvaise qualité sera attribuée une séquence de sauts de voies dont les voies sont de haute qualité, et qu'à des connexions dont la qualité s'améliore progressivement seront attribuées des séquences de sauts de voies dont les voies deviennent peu à peu médiocres.
