20104-8030 ABSTRACT "Charge-coupled device." The invention relates to a charge-coupled device, more particularly a sensor of the so-called accordion principle, in which the charge packets are stored with a very high density and, in order to prevent signal mixing, are transported with a lower density. The logic circuits required for driving the sensor are integrated in the chip itself. Therefore, means are provided for detecting the condition of the CCD, and for generating an adjustment signal which depends on that condition and which is used as a control signal for causing the CCD to pass on a next condition.
