ABSTRACT A charge coupled arrangement, in accordance with the charge coupled principle, in which a substrate of semi-conductor material is provided with an electrically insulating layer on which are disposed electrodes, in separated relation, an input electrode being disposed in the input stage and an output electrode disposed in the output stage thereof, the input electrode being in the form of a large-area electrode whereby, upon application of a voltage thereto, an inversion layer will be produced therebeneath, which layer functions in the substrate as a charge carrier reservoir.
